It replaces the texts, photos and spreadsheets that come in at the end of every install day. Each tech logs the day against the job: hours (typed, or from a GPS clock in and out), a short write-up, photos with captions, the equipment and cable used, and any receipts.
From that, DayReport builds a daily report for each job, a weekly timecard for each tech, an expense report with every receipt attached, and a payroll file for Gusto, ADP RUN or Paychex Flex.
AV projects move room by room: rough-in, rack build, displays and speakers, programming, commissioning, owner training. When your company picks Audio visual, the AI daily summary uses that language. It reports rooms by status, counts displays and speakers installed, and calls out what usually holds an AV job up, such as missing backing for a display, equipment on backorder or network ports that IT has not turned up.
There are two versions of every summary: a customer update you can send to the GC or owner, and an internal status that keeps change-order risks and owner decisions in the office copy.
Upload an AV scope, equipment list or room schedule when you add a job and DayReport fills in the job for you. Attach drawings, rack elevations and room schedules to the job so every tech on it can open them from the truck.
Materials come from your own stock first, then from an AV list grouped the way your distributor shelves it: displays and mounts, audio, video and signal, control, and AV cable.
Clock in and out on the job. Times are stamped by the server, rounded to the quarter hour and locked, so hours stay honest.
