Every hour lands in a room and a phase.
On Log Time the tech picks the job and hours, then taps Split this day by room. Each line gets a room, a cost code and the hours spent there. The lines have to add up to the day, and Put the rest here fills in what is left.
- Cost codes are the system from the spec plus the phase, like 27 10 00 Structured cabling, Cable pull.
- Counted codes ask how many: 12 drops, 4 cameras, 2 doors.
- Tick Finished when that room and phase is done. A big room can take several days.
- Missing a room? Tap + New room and it joins the job's list.

Hours against budget for every room.
Add rooms on Jobs, then Rooms & Budgets: one at a time, or paste a list from the drawings. Room 101-130 adds all thirty. Enter budgeted hours per room and cost code, or just a total per room.
- Hours vs budget shows each room in green, amber or red, with a CSV.
- Planned counts against done counts, the pace and the hours still needed.
- A room with logged hours cannot be deleted, so its history stays with the job.
- Hours nobody split show as No room, so nothing goes missing.

Let it read the drawings. You check the list.
Add the drawings, scope or bill of materials to the job, then tap Find rooms in the documents, tick the documents and tap Read. In about a minute DayReport proposes the rooms and planned counts.
- Fix names, what is planned and the counts, untick anything wrong, then Add.
- Counts go only to cost codes that have a Counted in unit.
- Start a job from another to copy rooms, room budgets and planned counts to repeat work, like classroom after classroom.

Show the customer every room without a phone call.
On the job's Share tab, create a private link for the GC or owner. It shows overall progress, each room as Not started, In progress or Finished, the latest daily report and photos.
- Pick what the link shows, with an optional end date.
- Pay, names, notes and prices never show.
- Turn the link off any time. The Share tab shows how many times it was opened.

Every company starts with 32 codes on CSI Division 27 and 28 systems. Techs pick the system, then the phase. Turn off systems you do not sell, rename or add codes, set what a code is counted in, and require a code on Log Time if you want one on every entry.

Questions worth asking first.
Do techs have to split every day by room?
No. The split is there for days that cover more than one room. Hours that are not split show as No room on the job, and your company can switch the split off.
Does the room split change anyone's pay?
No. Pay comes from the day's hours and your pay rules. The split only records where those hours went, so the office can see what each room and phase really cost.
What counts can techs log?
Any cost code with a Counted in unit asks how many: drops, cameras, doors, devices or racks in the starter codes. You can set the unit on your own codes too.
How accurate is the AI room finder?
It proposes and you decide. It reads the documents you tick and lists rooms with planned counts. You check the list against the drawings, fix what needs fixing and untick anything wrong before anything is added.
Can the customer see room progress?
Yes. On the job's Share tab, create a private link for the GC or owner. It shows each room as Not started, In progress or Finished, plus the daily reports and photos you pick. Pay, names, notes and prices never show.
